3rd Grade
Newsletter!

Hello parents and guardians of DSA’s 3rd grade class!
We have had a great start of our first full week of school! We are still getting used to new ways and procedures but I’m optimistic things will pick up and we’ll get the hang of it.
Next week starting August 13th, planners need parents signatures each night homework is assigned, Monday through Thursday. This is to ensure that parents have acknowledged that homework was assigned for that night. That week we will also be starting our spelling and vocabulary! And due to the wonderful manuscript writing, this means we can start cursive writing by September.
Friendly reminder, please try to arrive to school at 8:15 so that students can have time to unpack their backpacks for the day, use restrooms, and get a drink of water. Class starts promptly at 8:30 and late arrivals disrupt the flow of morning activities.

Volunteers for lunch!
We are looking for volunteers to help with hot lunches, it is only about 1 hour per day to help pick up as well as serve. We are looking for 5 volunteers. Please call the office if you are able to help and if you need more information.

Miss M’s 3rd Grade Newsletter

Welcome to Miss M’s 3rd Grade Class!

Hello to all! I am honored and excited to be teaching your child this year! I’ll be looking forward to expanding their minds while learning so many new things. I’m looking forward to the new school year, working with your child and meeting their families as well. That being said, once school is well underway, I hope some parents will volunteer occasionally. This would be very appreciated.
Now I would like to take some time to introduce myself. First I would like to say that my name is long and sometimes hard to pronounce, therefore I will be going by Miss M. I am a native Tucsonan, and went to high school locally. As an avid reader, I have a great book collection at home, most of which are fiction. I also love to go hiking and bowling with friends.
Finally, I would also like to inform you that in 3rd grade our only recess is one hour before lunch time. Since the office does not supply snacks, you may want to send one with your child if you feel it necessary.
